After working for several years in the film industry and detecting that the independent filmmaker has few opportunities to become a professional, we launched Global Film Festival Revolution.

We are the first festival in the world that rewards the best projects in each country.

 

Why?

​

Very simple, how can a short film from India compete against one from the United States, France or Japan? Each country has its own culture, its way of narrating, expressing itself. That is why we are going to organize a festival in which the best national project of each country is awarded. In the first phase of the festival, only national projects will compete against each other to make it a fairer competition.

The festival will have three phases.

1. National Champion. In the first phase we will reward the national winners of each country.

​

2. Continental Champion. In the second phase these national winners will compete to be the continental champions and then we will have a third phase where we will decide the world winner.

3. World Champion.

​

All this supervised by the best experts in the film industry. In our team we will have producers, directors, writers, experts in post-production and the most remarkable thing: with the distributors. These professionals will help you connect your projects with the industry (distribution contracts with majors, with the most interesting streaming platforms and with producers who are looking for new talent).

We believe that it is a unique opportunity for independent filmmakers to achieve their goal.

We have a network of 12,000 potential buyers. Our distributors and sales agents constantly work with big companies like Netflix, HBO and Disney.

Our team will be in charge of evaluating the projects for possible distribution, and this is where Global Film festival Revolution stands out from the rest. ALL registered projects will be evaluated for possible distribution. Most festivals only give exposure to the winning projects. Not here. Here we are going to help everyone.

FREQUENT QUESTIONS

-In the categories by countries, what type of projects can we register?
You can register any type of project (short film, feature film, documentary, script or music video). What we value in each project is the quality, not the format.

-Can you explain to me how the distribution issue works?
We collaborate with various distribution companies and international sales agents. These companies have access to more than 12,000 international buyers, which include large companies such as HBO, Netflix, Disney etc. What we do is the following. We have an entire team that is dedicated to evaluating all submitted projects for possible distribution. We constantly meet with these companies to find out what market needs they have and what type of projects they are acquiring. This is the key because it makes us more effective when presenting the projects to the festival by having a direct connection.

-How are the contracts?
Each contract is unique and depends on the interest of each distributor in your project. Normally they are contracts between 5 and 7 years in an exclusive way and the distributor keeps 20/25% of what it generates since they are going to invest in your project (take your project to international markets such as the Film Market in Cannes, Berlin, create promotional material, organize all meetings with international buyers, etc., but don't worry because we can help you negotiate the terms and conditions if you don't have experience.

-How much is this?
The festival charges absolutely nothing. We only charge the festival fee. We do all the distribution help for free to give you the maximum possible value as a festival. As we previously mentioned to you, these contract negotiations will not cost you anything.

-Can I participate with an old project?
Yes, we accept projects without a production deadline because we believe in second chances. We also accept projects that have already been released on platforms or theaters. We do not delete any project if you have it on youtube or other platforms since we consider that you are the sole owner of your project and no festival can limit you to promoting your project.

-Is there a territorial premier?
Absolutely not. We are 100% against these limitations and we find it very selfish for a festival to discard a project of yours because you have already premiered it in that territory, just so that festival has exclusivity over your work. It is an unfair practice and as we mentioned, here you are 100x100 free to do whatever you want with your project.
